MMDA assigns traffic managers for FIA motoring event

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will be providing assistance to maintain the smooth flow of traffic in time for the holding of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) Sports Conference in Pasay City.

MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia said on Saturday that about 98 MMDA personnel would be deployed for the FIA conference in Pasay scheduled from June 4 to 6.

Garcia said that these personnel would help in managing the traffic flow in the affected areas during the three-day conference.

He added that despite the attendance of international delegates, there would be no road closure.

“No roads would be closed for the event,” Garcia said in a statement.

The motoring conference initiated by FIA, which is the governing body of all four-wheel motor sports worldwide, is expected to draw in 245 national motoring and sporting organizations.

It will be the first time that FIA Sports Conference will be held in Asia. /jpv
