9 persons nabbed in Calabarzon anti-drug operations

SAN PEDRO CITY – A series of anti-drug operations in Calabarzon resulted in the arrest of nine persons and the confiscation of 71 plastic sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth) on Saturday morning.

Reports gathered from the regional police headquarters showed that the operations, either a buy-bust or an implementation of a search warrant, happened between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.

In Cavite, illegal drug suspects Gerald Dawis and Jomar Villanueva were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Barangay (village) Bagbag 2 and Barangay Sapa 3, both in Rosario town.

In Laguna, the police arrested Marlon Lopez in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Isidro in Cabuyao City.

In Rizal, the police arrested Federico Juab and Gilbert Longres around 8 a.m. in Barangay Sampaloc, Tanay town. The police recovered 13 sachets of suspected shabu.

Hours earlier, the police arrested Michael Rosario, who yielded 20 sachets of suspected drugs in an operation in Barangay Rosario, Rodriguez town.

Still in Rizal, the police also arrested a suspect identified as Rey Miguel around 8 a.m. in Barangay Bagumbayan, Teresa and recovered from him 12 sachets of suspected shabu.

In Batangas, separate operations in San Pascual town resulted in the arrest of Ariel Malaso and Annie Rodriguez, both in Barangay Poblacion. The police recovered six packets of suspected drugs from Malaso and eight from Rodriguez.
