Magnitude 5.2 quake jolts Zambales; tremors felt in Metro Manila 

A magnitude 5.2 earthquake rocked Zambales on Sunday, an official from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

Maila Advincula, science research assistance of Phivolcs, confirmed to INQUIRER.net that the earthquake hit San Felipe, Zambales at 5:46 p.m.

Phivolcs also recorded an Intensity IV tremor in the said municipality. Intensity III was felt in Cainta, Rizal; Intensity II in Quezon City, Pasay City, Mandaluyong City, Olongapo City, Guagua in Pampanga, and Marikina City; and Intensity I in Muntinlupa City, Pasig City, and Tagaytay City.

The agency did not receive any report of damage.

Advincula added that aftershocks are expected from the quake.   /ee
