CBCP prexy welcomes dialogue with Duterte’s team

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) has welcomed the team created by President Rodrigo Duterte tasked to hold a dialogue with the Catholic Church and other religious groups.

Davao Archbishop Romulo Valles, CBCP president, said on Tuesday that a dialogue between the church and the government would result into goodness.

“That is most welcome development. To dialogue is to listen to one another, [and] is always good,” Valles said as quoted by Radyo Veritas, a Roman Catholic radio station owned by the Archdiocese of Manila.
