Cha-cha hearing at Senate to push through despite rain, floods – Pangilinan

The Senate hearing on Charter change (Cha-cha) will push through Tuesday despite the suspension of work in the chamber.

“Yes, tuloy ang hearing,” Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, chairman of the Senate committee on constitutional amendments and revision of codes, said in a text message.

The committee is set to hold the hearing at 2 p.m.

Senator Gringo Honasan earlier announced the suspension of work in the Senate due to flooding in the metropolis amid continued heavy monsoon rain as enhanced by Tropical Depression Henry.
