Senate defers work amid persistent monsoon rain

The Senate suspended work on Wednesday as the southwest monsoon continues to dump rain over Metro Manila.

Senator Gregorio Honasan, officer-in-charge informed reporters about the work suspension through a text message. The work suspension also came amid threats of flooding in the metropolis due to persistent heavy rain.

Work was also suspended in the Senate on Tuesday due to bad weather.
