2 suspected drug pushers fall in separate Lucena City busts

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested two suspected drug pushers including a 60-year-old woman in buy bust operations here early Tuesday.

Supt. Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said anti-illegal drugs operatives nabbed Lorna Mendoza after she sold a plastic sachet of suspected crystal meth or shabu to an undercover police officer during a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) 4 at around 4:50 a.m.

Seized from Mendoza were three plastic sachets of shabu worth P1,400, police said.

Meanwhile, in another bust, police arrested Gilbert Yasis in Barangay 9 at around 5 a.m. Yasis yielded 10 sachets of shabu with a P5,800 street value, police said.

Police said Yasis is included in the city’s list of suspected drug pushers.  /muf
