License suspension sought for prosecutor caught arguing with enforcers in viral video

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Wednesday asked the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to suspend or revoke the license of the prosecutor caught in a viral video arguing with traffic enforcers after she was confronted for parking illegally.

The video posted by Gadget Addict on Facebook now has 10 million views, 237,000 shares, and 191,000 comments.

In the video, the woman was seen arguing with the traffic enforcers. In the last part of the video, the woman’s husband appeared and mentioned that the lady was a prosecutor.

The MMDA enforcer pleaded to the husband to stay for a police report about a motorcycle allegedly damaged after it was hit by his wife.

However, the husband said he needed to take his pregnant wife to the hospital for bleeding due to stress.

Ferdinand Rivera, acting director of Legal and Legislative Affairs of MMDA, said they already coordinated with Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra about the matter.

According to the MMDA official, Guevarra said once his office has received the copy of the complaint, he will take appropriate action on the case.

Rivera said the MMDA was studying the filing a complaint for disbarment as well as criminal charges against the driver for directly assaulting two MMDA traffic enforcers.   /vvp
