P800K worth of shabu seized from four suspects in Caloocan

About 119 grams of shabu were recovered from four drug suspects in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 37 in Caloocan City on Thursday evening.

A report from the Northern Police District said these suspects were caught in a house at Marulas A, Macabalo Street, Barangay 37: Ronilo Saplad, 54; Ferdinand Andrada, 52; Gerardo del Mundo, 51, and Ilona Gail Cristobal, 42, all residents of the barangay.

The four, whose names were not on the community drug watchlist, were arrested after they transacted with undercover police officers, selling at least one gram of shabu worth P1,000.

The police also found other sachets of shabu in the suspects’ possession, such as one bag with 80 grams of shabu, and nine sachets weighing 39 grams, a sling bag, and a pink coin purse.

The marked money was also recovered from the suspects, who will face cases for violation of Sections 5, 26, and 11 of Article II of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.   /vvp
