Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said Customs whistleblower Lourdes Mangaoang would need to apply and submit documents to be placed under the witness protection program.

“‘Yung kay Mangaoang, she still has to apply and submit supporting documents. (For Mangaoang, she still has to apply and submit supporting documents).” he told reporters in a Viber message on Friday.

Guevarra added the Department of Justice (DOJ) would also evaluate if the government can admit Mangaoang to the program.

Last Oct. 28, Mangaoang, who is also the Customs Deputy Collector, planned to apply for the government program.
