Defending champion Arellano and San Beda try to preserve their unbeaten records when they tackle separate rivals today in NCAA women’s volleyball at The Arena in San Juan City.

Both teams gun for their fifth straight triumphs with the Lady Chiefs battling the Lyceum Lady Pirates at 2 p.m. and the Lady Red Spikers facing the Jose Rizal University Lady Bombers at 12 noon.

Arellano’s strength lies on its offense, and coach Obet Javier hopes to flaunt it once again with Necole Ebuen and Regine Arocha leading the assault.

The Lady Chiefs are currently leading the attack department thanks to the stellar showing of Ebuen and Arocha.

But Lyceum is eager to bounce back from back-to-back defeats to University of Perpetual Help and San Beda that dropped the Lady Pirates to 1-3 card.

Alexandra Rafael and Rocelyn Hongria banner the Lady Pirates as they try to challenge Ebuen and Arocha at the net.

Coming off a weeklong respite, San Beda, meanwhile, is expected to on the league’s leading scorer Nieza Viray along with leading server Cesca Racraquin and Lynne Matias.

JRU, for its part, is out to extend its winning run to three games after a 0-2 start with Dolly Verzosa and Grace Rivera leading the charge.
