THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) will file charges against personalities involved in the alleged missing P11-billion “shabu” at the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Thursday, according to Director General Aaron Aquino.

Aquino told reporters on Wednesday that he would reveal the identities after finalizing the list with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), which would file separate cases against the suspects.

Aquino neither confirmed nor denied the alleged involvement of former PDEA Director General for Administration Ismael Fajardo who was terminated from his position two months ago after his name was linked to the shabu that was smuggled into the country through magnetic lifters.

“I tried to call him, to invite, to attend the Senate and congressional hearings but he is not answering and by this time I think last month he changed his cellphone number so nobody knows exactly. We are trying to ask his son and the wife but they told PDEA that they don’t know where Fajardo is,” Aquino said.

Fajardo and dismissed police officer Eduardo Acierto are at large, according to Senator Richard Gordon last December 3. ROY NARRA
