Party drugs consumption seen to increase this holiday season

MANILA, Philippines — Party-goers will most likely to raise their consumption of party drugs this holiday season, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) chief Director General Aaron Aquino said.
Aquino said that in the previous months, the PDEA had intercepted party drugs in airports and high-end bars, hotels, condominiums, and subdivisions.
“I assume there will be an increase in consumption, especially left and right ang mga parties ngayon (parties happen left and right),” he told reporters on Wednesday.
He said the PDEA will continue to launch operations against illegal drugs, including those being used in holiday events.
“Hindi titigil ang PDEA (The PDEA will not stop) to go around the metropolis to find out and check if these are being used especially at rave parties,” he said. /ee
