CamSur classes disrupted by ‘Usman’ to resume Jan. 7

MANILA, Philippines —Classes in all levels in the province of Camarines Sur which were suspended due to the effects of Tropical Depression “Usman” will resume on Jan. 7.
The suspension in Camarines Sur was made to “ensure the safety of everyone, especially of school children, and to give more time to their families to recover from the recent typhoon,” Gov. Miguel Luis Villafuerte said in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
MEMORANDUM NO. 5 We are declaring a province-wide suspension of classes in all levels starting tomorrow, January 3, 2019. Classes will resume on January 7, 2019.

Earlier, Naga City also cancelled classes from Jan. 3 to Jan. 6 as there are still city schools and barangays that need to be “cleaned up,” according to Naga City Mayor John Bongat.

Camarines Sur was placed under a state of calamity due to the damage brought by “Usman” which ripped through Bicol and Eastern Visayas shortly after Christmas Day.
