Duterte names new MTRCB vice chairperson

MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte has named Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) member Jeremiah Jaro as the board’s new vice chairperson.
Duterte signed Jaro’s appointment paper last Jan. 23, a copy of which was shared to the media on Wednesday.

Jaro will serve as MTRCB vice chairperson until September 30, 2019 and will replace Emmanuel Borlaza.
MTRCB is responsible for the classification and review of television programs, movies and home videos. It is composed of 30 board members headed by a chairman and a vice chairman. /je
