Arroyo calls for summit to ‘upgrade’ anti-drugs drive in Pampanga

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO —— House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo called all 505 Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Committees (Badac) to a provincial summit on Friday at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center here.
The summit aims to orient Badac members on their tasks to upgrade the campaign.
The Badac consists of the village chief, kagawad (councilor) who leads the peace and order committee, the kagawad who heads the children and family affairs, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chair, chief of kagawads, non-government organizations and faith-based group representatives, and the chief of police.
Former PNP chief Ronald de la Rosa, former special presidential assistant Bong Go and ex-Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chair Francis Tolentino were expected to attend in the afternoon./lzb
