4.7 – magnitude quake shakes Ilocos Sur

MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.7 earthquake rocked the province of Ilocos Sur early Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The quake struck at 4:51 a.m. and traced its epicenter two kilometers (km) northeast of Sigay, Ilocos Sur, Phivolcs reported.
The tremor had a depth of focus of 100 km and of tectonic origin.
An Intensity II quake was felt by residents in Vigan City.
