Bataan cop chief relieved over sexual harassment complaint

BALANGA CITY — Supt. Marcelo Dayag, Bataan police director, has been relieved from his post following a complaint of harassment filed by a policewoman whose identity was withheld.

Director General Oscar Albayalde, chief of the Philippine National Police, on Saturday said Dayag was “under investigation for a sexual harassment case.”

Sources at the Camp Tolentino Police Headquarters here said Sr. Supt. Villamor Tuliao, chief of the PNP Women and Children Protection Center anti-trafficking in persons division, ordered the relief of Dayag.

Dayag was transferred to the regional personnel holding and accounting unit of the police regional office in Camp Olivas, Pampanga.
