2 arrested in Lucena City buy-bust operations

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested two drug suspects in separate buy-bust operations here on Thursday and Friday.
Gerry Maga was arrested Friday afternoon after selling shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover police officer in Barangay Dalahican around 2:15 p.m. Friday, Police Lt. Colonel Reydante Ariza said.
The suspect later yielded three plastic sachets of shabu weighing one gram.
Law enforcement authorities said the suspect, a drug convict, is one of the suppliers of the illegal drug to out of school youths, tricycle drivers, dock workers and fishermen in the coastal village.
On Thursday, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives arrested Edward Rey in another buy-bust in Barangay Mayao Crossing at around 9:30 p.m.
Confiscated from Rey were five grams of shabu packed in eight sachets. / gsg
