Makati cops nab 9 in illegal sale of LTE modems in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines – Nine persons were arrested on Thursday night for illegally selling broadband modems purportedly of a telecom company.

In a report from the Southern Police District (SPD), the suspects were identified as Jeffrey Abalos, 22; John Reymart Abalos, 25; Jericho Abalos, 21; Jonathan Abalos, 21; Richard Solomon, 20; Patrick Calangian, 26; Marlon Abalos, 39; Elpedia Abalos, 44; and Dionisio Abalos, 52.

They were collared through a follow-up operation by members of Makati police at Brgy. San Roque in Quezon City. Seized from the suspects were 768 units Globe LTE modem worth around P668,600.

According to police, they obtained information about the suspects from a certain Norman Tagalan, who was earlier arrested by a security investigator from Globe Telecom.
