MOTORISTS will get a respite starting on Tuesday as oil companies reduced the prices of petroleum products after last week’s seventh consecutive increase.

The price of diesel will be reduced by 30 centavos per liter, gasoline by 10 centavos per liter, and kerosene by 20 centavos per liter.

Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum, Pilipinas Shell, PTT Philippines, Seaoil, and Total announced the new adjustments.

In separate advisories, Petro Gazz and Pilipinas Shell said the rollback would take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday.

Other firms are expected to follow suit.

Last week, majority of industry players increased the price of gasoline by 65 centavos per liter, and diesel and kerosene by 10 centavos per liter. JORDEENE B. LAGARE
