Sharon Cuneta endorses Grace Poe for senator

MANILA, Philippines — Singer and actress Sharon Cuneta on Sunday publicly endorsed Sen. Grace Poe who is seeking to be reelected in the May 2019 midterm elections.
Cuneta posted on Instagram an image of Poe with a caption expressing her support of the senatorial candidate.
“Sen. Grace Poe has my full support and my heart. May God bless you, Senator!” Cuneta said.
Poe replied to Cuneta’s endorsement and thanked the singer-actress for her love.
“Maraming salamat sa pagtitiwala at pagmamahal ng nag-iisang Megastar, Ms. Sharon Cuneta,” Poe said.
Cuneta also seemed to be going all-in with her support of Poe, even asking for shirts and campaign materials to give to her fans, popularly known as “Sharonians.”
“Sen. Baka you can send me some shirts/campaign materials. I am sure lots of Sharonians would love to have some too,” Cuneta said.
“Will [send you my address on direct message] or Kiko [Pangilinan] can give to you too. Love you and my Mama Swanie. Hope to see you soon!” she added.
In 2016, Cuneta did not endorse for Poe in the presidential race saying she was caught up between her and President Rodrigo Duterte.
Cuneta said she considerd both candidates as friends.
Her husband Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan serves as the campaign manager of the opposition party, Otso Diretso. /atm
