Record-high P4.100T cash-based budget eyed in 2020

THE government is eyeing a record-high national budget for next year under the cash-based system.
“The total cash budget for 2020 is, thus, pegged at P4.100 trillion,” the department’s officer-in-charge, Janet Abuel, said in a national budget memorandum released late last week to guide government agencies in the preparation of their 2020 budget.
The 2020 national budget is 9.1 percent or P343 billion more than this year’s still unapproved P3.757 billion. MAYVELIN U. CARABALLO
