Game on April 30 (Panaad Stadium, Bacolod City)
3 p.m. – Kaya vs Lao Toyota

Lightning didn’t strike twice for Kaya-Iloilo as it failed to salvage another dramatic draw against Indonesia’s PSM Makassar and fell 2-1 Wednesday afternoon in the AFC Cup at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City.

Kaya threatened to score another late equalizer after Jovic Bedic scored a penalty kick entering stoppage time but failed to get a clear attempt until the final whistle, allowing PSM to grab top spot in Group H with eight points after four matches.

Rizky Pellu and Eero Markkanen struck the two goals for the visitors inside 25 minutes, enough to prevent Kaya from repeating its 1-1 tie two weeks ago in Indonesia on Marwin Angeles’ late score.

The Copa Paulino Alcantara champion dropped to second place in the group, three points below PSM Makassar.

Kaya could even drop to third spot if Singapore’s Home United, the reigning ASEAN Zonal champion, beat Lao Toyota at presstime in Vientiane
