Iral earlier declared a full alert status in the BJMP during the Holy Week.

He then commended all the teams led by key officials from the National Headquarters including the Regional Directors who skipped the holiday to inspect jails and monitor the jail situations.

He also expressed his gratitude for the efforts extended by the Regional Directors in leading their respective regions for a zero incident Holy Week this year.

“All of us were tasked by DILG Secretary Eduardo Año to be vigilant this holiday to prevent any untoward incidents and I’m grateful that all of you did a great job in guarding our gates,” he said.

“Maraming salamat at pati kayo ay nagbantay ng mabuti kaya nasiguro nating maayos at ligtas ang ating mga pasilidad ngayong Holy Week,” he added, in reference to the Regional Directors.
