Suspected drug pusher dies in Rizal shootout

SAN PEDRO CITY–A suspected drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust operation in Taytay town in Rizal province on Friday evening, police said Saturday.
According to a report from the Rizal police office, suspect Jojo Sandigan, 43, was the target of the anti-drug operation around 7:45 p.m. Friday in Barangay (village) San Juan.
Sandigan reportedly fired shots, forcing police officers to shoot back at him. He was taken to a hospital in Taytay but was declared dead on arrival.
Recovered from the suspect was a .45-caliber gun and suspected “shabu” (crystal meth). /jpv
