SEN. Antonio Trillanes 4th denied involvement in the video series linking President Rodrigo Duterte’s family and several businessmen and politicians to drug syndicates in Davao City and the Bicol Region.

In an interview on radio station dzBB on Sunday, Trillanes dismissed allegations that he and the Magdalo group of which he is a founding member, were behind the Ang Totoong Narco List series, which led to the arrest of alleged web developer Rodel Jayme, who put up MetroBalita.net, where the videos were uploaded.

(We have nothing to do with Rodel Jayme in the making of the “Bikoy” videos.)

He said that he and his group were not even part of President Duterte’s matrix.

“Doon mismo sa matrix ni Duterte, wala kami,” (In Duterte’s matrix, we were not there.) he said. (In Mr. Jayme’s interview, he said he didn’t know anyone from Magdalo.)

Trillanes’ denial comes after Vice President Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo and the Liberal Party (LP) also dismissed allegations that they were behind the videos that linked Duterte’s son, Paolo, and Veronica, the President’s daughter with partner Honeylet Avancena; and his former aide Christopehr “Bong” Go to illegal drug activities.

Trillanes urged that these accusations from “Bikoy” needed to be investigated first by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Department of Justice (DoJ) and if proven true, Jayme’s cyberlibel and sedition cases should be junked.

(The question is, are Bikoy’s accusations true or not, if true, then what wrongdoing did Jayme and Bikoy do? Nothing. Because it is not a crime to tell the truth.)

(Before they arrest anybody, investigate the case first if Bikoy’s allegations are true or not.)

Sen. Panfilo Lacson said that “Bikoy” should surface and show his evidence for clarity.

In a radio interview also on Sunday, Lacson said that it would not be easy investigating the video issue, if “Bikoy” would not show himself.

(Bikoy shoud surface if he has documents or evidence, he should show it for clarity.)

(It will be difficult when someone calls for an investigation as long as Bikoy doesn’t reveal himself. We cannot question the video.)

Trillanes said it was up to “Bikoy” should he wish to reveal himself or not.

In the fifth part of the controversial videos, “Bikoy” said he he would reveal himself in due time. ARIC JOHN SY CUA
