Female body found in Northern Samar village

Ormoc City — The body of a young woman was found in a drainage in Barangay Salhag, Rosario town, Northern Samar at 6:10 a.m. on Wednesday.

Police Captain Elias Ero of the Rosario Police Station said the woman, in her early 20s, bore multiple head injuries.

He said it possible that the woman was raped because her short pants and underwear were lowered below her knees.

Ero appealed to the public to help identify the victim whose body is now at the Pajares Funeral Parlor. (Editor: Leti Boniol)
