MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) has reshuffled officers in five major posts, PNP chief Police General Oscar Albayalde announced in a press briefing at Camp Crame on Monday.

Albayalde said the reshuffle was a recommendation by the PNP Senior Officers Placement and Promotion Board and Oversight Committee to implement reorganization of senior officers holding key positions in the Directorial and Special Staff, National Support Units, and Police Regional Offices.

Those who will transfer to new positions in the PNP are Brig. Gen. Froilan Flores Quidilla (from regional director in Mimaropa to acting regional director in Zamboanga Peninsula); Brig. Gen. Marni Marcos Jr. (from chief of the Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) to acting regional director in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM); and Brig. Graciano Mijares (from director in BARMM to acting director in ACG).

Also moving to new posts are Brig. Gen. Emmanuel Licup (from director in Zamboanga Peninsula to acting deputy director of Directorate for Personnel and Records Management); and Col. Nelson Bondoc (from Engineering Services to acting deputy regional director for administration in Mimaropa).

“The latest reorganization is prompted by the series of retirement of senior PNP officials this year, the two-year maximum tenure in positions, and the Performance Evaluation Rating that created vacancies that need to be filled to ensure continuity of command,” Albayalde said.

The reassignment takes effect on Tuesday, said PNP spokesman Police Col. Bernard Banac. (Editor: Eden Estopace)
