A good mix of champions and newcomers banners the semis round of the World Slasher Cup 2 Invitational 9 -Cock Derby today at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Pitgames Media Inc. CEO Manny Berbano said the 15 frontrunners with two wins each try to continue their winning run as they intend to reach the grand finals on Sunday in the event being hosted by the Pintakasi of Champions with Thunderbird and Emperador as major sponsors.
Posting two wins in the event that is also backed by PitGames Media Inc., TV5’s “All New Tukaan”, ABS-CBN Action + Sports, “Sagupaan,” “Sabong Nation”, “Sabong Pilipinas”, “Bakbakan Na TV.”, The Sabong Chronicles, .Journal Group, Pilipino Mirror, Saksi Ngayon and Diaryo Bomba are WSC champs Rey Briones with Mauro Prieto, Nene Araneta, Frank Berin, Escolin/Eslabon Brothers, Patrick Antonio and Anthony Lim.
Also with two points are Emil Tiu, Mark Calixto, Jerry Robles, lawyer Henry Tubban, Louie Tulang, 2019 WPC 220 K Big Event champion Rey Canedo, John Paul Punzalan, Felix Gatchalian and Mayon Cockpit owner Godo Beltran.

Participants with 2, 2.5, 3 and 3.5 points will have their 4 -cock finals on May 31 while those with 4, 4.5 and 5 points clash on June 2 (4-cock grand finals).
