Defending two-time champion Ceres-Negros crushed Air Force, 12-0, over the weekend to stay on top of the Philippines Football League at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.

Mike Ott scored four goals while Spanish talisman Bienvenido Maranon and Stephan Schrock each produced a hat trick as Ceres won its sixth straight match to keep hold on the lead at 19 points.

The Busmen kept the streak despite their club chairman Leo Rey Yanson dealing with the controversy surrounding his ouster as president of Ceres Bus Lines‘ parent company Vallacar Transit by his siblings last week.

Kaya-Iloilo remained level with Ceres on points after topping host Stallion-Laguna, 1-0, at the Binan Football Stadiium.

Darryl Roberts delivered the only goal of the match which came in the 31st minute to help the reigning Copa Paulino Alcantara winners bounce back from Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat to Ceres.

Kaya is in second place despite tying Ceres due to an inferior goal difference.

Green Archers United climbed to third spot after cruising past Global-Makati at the PFF pitch.

John Celiz had a hat trick and Roy Kent Bedia and Marvin Angeles each scored twice for Green Archers, which overtake Stallion after improving 14 points in eight matches.
