‘Bakbakan’ starts today

Due to incessant requests from cockers nationwide, the International Federation of Gamefowl Breeders (FIGBA) will launch the “Bakbakan Early Bird 9-Stag Derby” today.
Today’s 2 -stag elims will be held at Kaybiga Cockpit Arena in Calookan City with members of the Bulacan Gamefowl Breeders Association (BGBA) also joining the much-awaited event.
BGBA is now headed by its new president Rey Briones.
For an entry fee of P5,500, the guaranteed prize is P10 million, said FIGBA president Ricoy Palmares, Jr.
The 4-stag finals will be held simultaneously in various venues nationwide on Aug. 31.
“The Bakbakan 12 -Stag National Derby starts in October,” said Palmares.
