Cavite declares state of calamity due to Dengue outbreak

THE Province of Cavite declared a state of calamity due to an increase in the number of dengue cases, an official said on Wednesday.
Board Member Kerby Salazar said the local government has tallied 3605 cases with 18 deaths since the start of the year, with the victims averaging 12 years old.
Salazar, chairman of the committee on health, nutrition, and population urged Caviteños to participate in the “Lingguhang Clean Up Drive” to ensure the cleanliness of the environment. JAN ARCILLA
