‘Bakbakan’ derby up

Provincial eliminations of the “Bakbakan Early Bird 9-Stag Derby”, a P10 -million nationwide stagfest, resumes today at the Bacolor Cockpit in Pampanga.
Two eliminations rounds will held in the said venue (today and Aug. 9), supported by the Kapampangan Gamefowl Breeders Association (KGBA) which has 360 members.
Members of BAPPI (Breeders Association of Pangasinan-Pangasinense Inc.) clash on Wednesday at Pangasinan Coliseum.
The powerhouse Batangas Breeders Club (BBC), led by sportsman Fred Katigbak starts its ‘early bird’ series at Balagtas Cockpit in Batangas City on Aug. 1.
On Friday, the United Baguio-Benguet Breeders Association (UBBBA) and Rizal Gamefowl Breeders Association (RGBA) will have separate 2 -stag elims at A. Tabora Sports Complex and Blue Mountain Sports Arena respectively.
Organized by the International Federation of Gamefowl Breeders Associations (FIGBA), the ‘early bird’ series accepts only FIGBA ‘early bird’ stags and locally -banded stags from FIGBA member associations for uniformity and fair play.
