Yet another lawyer gunned down by motorcycle assassins in Bukidnon

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY—A lawyer who was supposed to attend a hearing in Malaybalay City on Monday (July 29) was gunned down by still unknown assailants at Barangay Poblacion in Valencia City, Bukidnon province late on Sunday (July 28), police said.
Lawyer Nicolas Gomez, who grew up in Davao City but had been renting a house at Barangay Poblacion in Valencia City, was gunned down by suspects aboard an XRM motorcycle which had no license plate, said Valencia police chief Col. Surki Sereñas.
Gomez, 67, was supposed to attend a hearing at the Malaybalay Regional Trial Court (RTC).
He was brought to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
Gomez, who entered the Philippine Bar in 1978, largely practiced his profession in Quezon City./TSB
