EXECUTIVE Secretary Salvador Medialdea filed another libel complaint against Special Envoy for Public Diplomacy to China Ramon Tulfo on Tuesday, his lawyer said on Tuesday.

Elvis Balayan said his client filed several counts of libel against Tulfo for his articles published in The Manila Times that “implicated” him in alleged corruption at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, which he added was “totally baseless.”

“It appears that [Ramon] Tulfo has been recklessly violating his rights,” Balayan said, adding that the executive secretary has “an integrity, name, and reputation to protect.”

Medialdea personally filed the complaint containing two counts of libel and another two for cyber libel, but refused to be interviewed.

“Mr. Tulfo has been making a mockery of the justice system and as a lawyer that he is – the [Executive] Secretary will follow the due process of law,” he said. JOSHUA VERA CRUZ
