“Napakahalaga nito, lalo na’t tungo tayo sa Universal Health Care (UHC o kalusugang pangkalahatan). Kailangan malakas ang mga frontliners natin,” Sotto said.

Under the agreement, Pasig vowed to offer additional funds for medical assistance and ensure that medicine would be provided to all health centers and hospitals in the city.

Sotto said the city would study the qualifications of health care personnel and allow the regularization of professional doctors.

[We are aiming for rationalization of our health care staff — that is, fill all vacancies with qualified people. We should stop implementing professional job orders.]
