THE National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has postponed all basketball games scheduled today, Friday, due to the suspension of classes caused by inclement weather.

“Manila and San Juan (have) suspension of classes for all levels for today, Friday, 9 August 2019. All games scheduled for today are canceled and shall be played on a date and time to be determined later,” said NCAA management committee chairman Peter Cayco of Season 95 host Arellano University.

“Tickets for canceled games today shall be honored on the re-scheduled date. Chess eligibility meeting is likewise canceled,” added Cayco.

This was the third time within a week that the NCAA has canceled its games. The league issued out suspensions last Friday (Aug. 2) and last Tuesday (Aug. 6).

Postponed were the games pitting College of St. Benilde (4-0) against Jose Rizal University (3-4) at 2 p.m. and San Sebastian College-Recoletos (2-3) against Emilio Aguinaldo College (1-5) at 4 p.m.

Also canceled were the juniors matches featuring La Salle Greenhills (4-2) against JRU (4-3) at 10 a.m. and San Sebastian (2-4) versus EAC-Immaculate Conception Academy (1-5) at noontime. JEREMIAH M. SEVILLA
