Adventure playgrounds are part of a growing trend to promote unstructured play that encourages kids to use their imagination and assess risk.

But one such playground in Delta has drawn criticism for being too dangerous.

The playground is made of wooden ladders, planks and pallets, with nails sticking out in various parts. Swings are made from ropes and broomsticks and has a local parent and industrial safety expert concerned that Delta hasn’t done the adventure playground justice.
