Below were the 20 most popular CleanTechnica articles in August. Clearly, people were curious about Tesla Model 3 total cost of ownership, problems with the Model 3 (that don’t exist), how much range a parked Model 3 loses over the course of two months, and Tesla’s master plan in action. Scroll down below for the full list of the 20 most popular CleanTechnica stories of August.
Aside from our many news stories, we put a lot of time, effort, and tears into creating high-quality, original content. We hope this adds the value we think it adds. We hope the analyses help you and millions of others to better understand the most important cleantech stories of the day. As always, we try to balance the thirst cleantech fanatics have for more depth and context with our efforts to reach more people in the mainstream market who have had little exposure to cleantech topics. It is a constant balancing act.
If you appreciate what we do, we would of course appreciate any financial support you can provide. The content takes time, and time is money. With more money, especially from human subscribers, we can write more articles and add more depth to our work.

To check out some of our recent CleanTechnica originals, and read anything titillating you missed, here’s a list of 70 from the past couple of months that stood out to me:
Zachary Shahan Zach is tryin’ to help society help itself (and other species). He spends most of his time here on CleanTechnica as its director and chief editor. He’s also the president of Important Media and the director/founder of EV Obsession and Solar Love. Zach is recognized globally as an electric vehicle, solar energy, and energy storage expert. He has presented about cleantech at conferences in India, the UAE, Ukraine, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, the USA, and Canada. Zach has long-term investments in TSLA, FSLR, SPWR, SEDG, & ABB — after years of covering solar and EVs, he simply has a lot of faith in these particular companies and feels like they are good cleantech companies to invest in. But he offers no professional investment advice and would rather not be responsible for you losing money, so don’t jump to conclusions.
