And we’re off. The writ has dropped and Canadians will head to the polls Oct. 21 for the federal election 2019. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was in Vancouver Wednesday night to kick off the campaign, after earlier in the day visiting Rideau Hall in Ottawa to ask the Governor General to dissolve Parliament.
Elsewhere Wednesday, Green Party Leader Elizabeth May started her campaign in Victoria, Conservative Party Leader Andrew Scheer kicked off in Quebec, and NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh launched his campaign in Ontario.
