INC holds Guinness world record of most people baptized

THE Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) set a world record with its baptism of 18,272 people in Bocaue, Bulacan on September 7.
Based on its statement, the INC said its “Grand Baptism” event at the Philippine Arena coincided with Eduardo Manalo’s tenth year as INC executive minister.
“We bore witness to a solemn and historic gathering. More than the attainment of the new world record, however, we are thankful that the INC is continuing to grow and its message of peace and salvation is reaching more new adherents in the Philippines and abroad,” INC General Auditor Glicerio Santos Jr. said.
Guinness adjudicator Joanne Marie Brent officially announced the record after a thorough count and audit of attendees, based on INC’s statement. REINA TOLENTINO
