Abbotsford police investigating after man killed in hit-and-run collision

A man is dead following a hit-and-run collision early Thursday morning in Abbotsford.
Just after 6 a.m., Abbotsford police were called to Highway 11 near Clayburn Road for a collision. First responders at the scene located a man in his 50s who had suffered serious injuries.
Lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful and the man died at the scene. Police and collision investigators remained at the scene Thursday morning and traffic delays were expected.
Later in the day, Const. Mike Willford with Abbotsford Police confirmed a vehicle linked to the hit-and-run had been located and that the driver had been arrested.
Police are now hoping anyone who witnessed the hit-and-run or who may have dashboard camera footage will come forward to speak with investigators.
