Power outages hit ‘small portion’ of Meralco covered areas

AS typhoon “Tisoy” unleashed its fury in Metro Manila, its power distributor, the Manila Electric Co. (Meralco), reported that only a small portion of its franchise area have been hit by power interruptions.
“Currently, only 2.41 percent of Meralco franchise customers are affected by power outages caused by the typhoon’s strong winds and heavy rain. These affected areas are mainly portions of Quezon, Laguna, Rizal, and Cavite,” Meralco spokesman Joe Zaldarriaga said in a message on Tuesday.
Some Meralco customers experienced emergency power interruption lasting for three to four hours because of emergency line trouble.

Laguna
*Alaminos: San Roque, Sta. Rosa, San Miguel, San Gregorio, San Andres, San Benito, San Agustin, Del Carmen, San Juan, Palma, and Alaminos
*Bay: Bay Town Proper, Bitin, Dila, Calo, Maitim, San Antonio, Sto. Domingo, and San Isidro
*Calauan: Limao
*Los Baños: Maahas, Bayog, Tadlak, Maahas, Mayondon, San Antonio, and Batong Malake
*San Pablo City: Concepcion, San Cristobal, San Francisco, San Gregorio, San Ignacio, San Joaquin, San Jose, Santisimo Rosario, Soledad, Sta. Elena, San Crispin, San Gabriel, San Nicolas, San Rafael, San Roque, Sta. Cruz, Sta. Maria, Sta. Monica, Sta. Veronica, Sto. Cristo, Sto.
