Rockslide closes Highway 93 near Fairmont Hot Springs

A rockslide has closed Highway 93 in both directions in the south-east Kootenays.
The slide, which occurred around 8 a.m. Thursday, has closed the highway between Dutch Creek Road and Westside Road, about four kilometres south of the Fairmont Hot Springs resort.
There were no reports of injuries.
The Ministry of Transportation says the road will remain closed indefinitely until a geo technical assessment can be completed.
