Vancouver Canucks' Bo and Holly Horvat set to welcome tiny new teammate

Vancouver Canucks’ Bo Horvat will soon add the title of dad right next to his role as captain.
Horvat, 24, and his wife Holly announced Sunday the pair were welcoming their first child in July 2020, in an adorable Instagram post that featured the couple’s French bulldog Gus.
“Shhh We Haven’t Told Him Yet,” reads a letter board propped next to a sonogram image. Horvat can be seen covering the eyes and ears of Gus, as his wife smiles while holding a toddler-sized Canucks retro jersey with HORVAT emblazoned on the back.
It will be the couple’s first child.
Horvat plays centre and currently serves as captain for the Vancouver Canucks. He was drafted ninth overall in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
The couple, who have been together for nearly a decade, became engaged in September 2018 and married in July 2019.
“I can get a little agitated, but she keeps me pretty even-keeled,” said Horvat of his then girlfriend in a 2017 Postmedia profile. “She cares a lot about me and the people around her. She always wants to make me better and wants people to succeed and is very unselfish that way.”
