Man in hospital after stabbing in Richmond

A man was injured in a stabbing after a fight broke out at a home in Richmond Thursday night.

Mounties were called out at around 8 p.m. to a residence in the 3500-block of Francis Road for a report of a stabbing.

Inside the residence, officers found a 34-year-old man suffering from stab wounds. He was transported to hospital in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries, according to Richmond RCMP.

Police say the fight broke out between two people who knew each other. RCMP did not say whether anyone was arrested, but said there is no risk to the public.
