Police are hoping to identify two people wanted in connection with an alleged scam involving a knife at an Abbotsford department store last month.

Abbotsford police have released surveillance photos of a man and woman who entered the Superstore at 2855 Gladwin Road at 9:37 p.m. on Jan. 25.

Police say the pair were observed switching price tags on various items and then going through the store’s check-out with the price swapped goods.

When a store employee confronted the couple in the parking lot, police say the man produced a knife and threatened staff.

Abbotsford Police Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance to identify this man wanted in connection with an incident at an Abbotsford Superstore.

The couple left the shopping cart with the merchandise behind and fled the parking lot in a dark coloured vehicle.

Anyone who can identify the pair is asked to contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
