Grand Hyatt Manila embodies the Hyatt principle “We care for people so they can be their best” through a partnership that supports a livelihood for families that need it the most as well as promoting sustainability for the environment.

In the last quarter of 2019, Grand Hyatt Manila began a partnership with Negrense Volunteers for Change (NVC) to support their local communities, through including hand-made ornaments that they created with upcycled Nespresso capsules in the Afternoon Tea Set from November to December. Further to this, the ornaments were also made available for purchase at Florentine and all proceeds of these efforts were collected towards a donation for the communities that NVC support. The campaign upcycled a total of 85,011 capsules for this effort. By the end of the campaign, the total amount has reached P232,000 and today, Grand Hyatt Manila celebrates the success of this endeavor with NVC and their valued media partners.

With this, Grand Hyatt Manila’s General Manager Gottfried Bogensperger, will be announcing the continuance of this partnership for the coming months through more variations of the special Afternoon Tea set for Valentine’s (February), Women’s Month (March) and Easter (April), where the same amount will be donated to NVC for each tea set sold. The ornaments will vary per occasion and the team of Grand Hyatt Manila is pleased to share the Valentine’s ornament during the turnover of the donations of the previous campaign.
