31 villages in Manila on 48-hour lockdown starting July 4

THE Manila City Government placed 31 villages (barangay) under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) for 48 hours due to a surge in coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases in their areas.

Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso signed Executive Order 31 on Tuesday night to enforce the lockdown on the villages which have tallied more than three cases from June 15 to 29.

The lockdown begins from 12 midnight of Saturday until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday.

Affected are:

District 1: 20, 41, 51, 56, 66, 96, 97, 101, 106, 116, 118, 120, 128 and 129;

Five in District 2: 163, 173, 180, 185, 215;

Four in District 3: 275, 310, 343, and 380;

District 5: 649, 724, 766, 775, and 811;

District 6: 836, 846 and 847.

The residents of these villages shall be strictly confined to their residences, with the exemption of health workers, military personnel, service workers, utility workers, essential workers barangay officials, and accredited media practitioners.
